Position Overview : The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in our client’s organization by handling the billing process, communicating with internal departments regarding invoices and payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records.
Key Responsibilities :
Generate and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure prompt billing and payment status updates.
Analyze and resolve complex billing issues and discrepancies.
Prepare and process bank deposits.
Post and reconcile payments to appropriate accounts.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies and other issues affecting accounts receivable.
Maintain accounts receivable files and records.
Collaborate with the accounting team to review accounts receivable aging reports monthly.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Knowledge of basic accounting principles, accounts receivable, or billing procedures.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (, vlookups, pivot tables) is required.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy in work.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with accounting software (, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Previous experience in accounts receivable or billing role is a plus.
