Physician Assistant Specialty - Hematology Oncology

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Penn State Health Community Medical Group is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join the Hematology / Oncology team located in Lancaster, PA.

The primary work locations for this position will be at Penn State Health Lime Spring Outpatient Center and Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center.

This individual will work in collaboration with other Physicians and APPs within the practice providing care to patients with a broad range of hem / onc diagnoses.

The APP will support patients undergoing in-office treatment and will provide inpatient coverage though consults and hospital rounding.

The standard schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, with a varying end time depending on when the last patient finishes treatment.

The APPs will also participate in shared weekend call coverage on a rotating basis. Prior APP background in hematology / oncology, family medicine, or internal medicine is ideal for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) :

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
