Operating out of Indianapolis, IN, our retail stores offer officially licensed headwear and apparel from collegiate and professional sports teams, plus top brands like Nike, New Era, Adidas, and Mitchell & Ness.

Internship Program Overview

Lids offers a comprehensive internship program across multiple professional disciplines in the fast-paced world of sports, retail and fashion.

Students will work at the Lids Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN under the guidance of mentors while engaging in real career-related activities.

Interns will have the opportunity to present their business projects to the Lids Leadership team and other key members of the organization.

The program is designed to complement and expand the students' classroom education and offers an opportunity to gain marketable career experience.

Day in the Life of an IT Intern

Interns will be placed within one of our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Teams and work on one or more projects to enhance our internal and customer facing applications for Lids.

Our goal is to provide the intern with valuable work experience and exposure to different aspects of IT, while also providing real, meaningful value to the company

• Analyzing requests for best possible solution
• Meeting with end users / key stakeholders to document and clarify requirements
• Creating technical designs for code changes
• Developing code that meets the business users’ requirements
• Testing own code changes, as well as other developers code changes
• Demoing enhancements to end users / key stakeholders
• Working with the implementation team to merge code throughout the test and production environments

Who You Are

• True team player
• Moderate experience in at least one or more of these skill areas : HTML, CSS, JavaScript, X++, VB .NET, C#, SQL, Oracle, PHP, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps
• Interested in system analysis, system design, software design, software development and implementation, software testing
• Innovative thinker
• Strong communicator (verbal & written)
• Proven ability to provide exceptional work and customer service
• Proven leader and engaged student on campus
• Passion for retail, sports and business

Internship Requirements

• For consideration to participate in the internship program, an applicant must have a 3.0 minimum GPA and either be a full-time student pursuing a baccalaureate or higher degree in a related field at an accredited college / university or attending an accredited 2-year college / university.
• A selected student must be present for the duration of the internship from 6 / 3 / 24-8 / 2 / 24. This internship is on-site at our corporate office in Indianapolis.
• Expected to graduate between December of 2024 and May 2025 (Junior Status)
