Director of Accounting Responsibilities :
- Evaluate the quarterly FAS 144 analysis, held-for-sale listings, and related impairments for the global portfolio, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Assess the monthly straight-line rent calculations, reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses for the global portfolio in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Review the calculations for monthly / quarterly distributions to Joint Venture partners.
- Examine the quarterly impairment reporting schedules included in SEC filings.
- Present impairment analysis findings to senior management.
- Oversee the preparation of Joint Venture financial statements and disclosures.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, processes, workflows, and streamline internal processes.
- Engage in special projects, including conducting accounting research, formally documenting management's conclusions, and assisting the Technical Accounting Group in adhering to new accounting standards and disclosures.
- Monitor, manage, or coordinate information requests, audits, and communications between Joint Venture parties.
- Train, supervise, and develop Accounting team members to maximize growth opportunities and meet department objectives.
Requirements :
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Over 8 years of diverse experience in both industry and public accounting, with a preference for those with real estate industry expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving, analytical thinking, effective time management, and critical thinking.
- Advanced financial acumen, including proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and developing financial models.
- Skilled at navigating ambiguous situations and capable of taking initiative without detailed instructions.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adhere to public company reporting deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills, with the capability to convey complex ideas effectively to senior management. Pay Rate :
