Job Summary
Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) was created to remove the complexity of take-back regulatory compliance for electronic devices over multiple governmental jurisdictions by providing cost-efficient and sustainable solutions that meet all legislative obligations and customer requirements.
RLG provides customers with environmentally sound solutions and enables a circular economy by facilitating the return of electronic devices and other products to the value chain as recycled material.
The Operations Program Manager will perform the following duties in order to ensure RLG remains best-in-class when it comes to developing and executing operational plans for collection and recycling of electronics across the US.
Additionally, you will assist in supporting the development of operational plans for the take-back and recycling of other materials under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation.
Responsibilities :
- Setting up and managing electronics collection and recycling networks throughout US in accordance with customer and take-back regulatory requirements under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs.
- Efficiently handle day-to-day aspects with all relevant stakeholders (municipal and county collection points, state regulators, service providers, customers, etc) to ensure they understand their role and responsibilities under electronics take-back regulatory programs and ensure RLG provides necessary support.
- Updating and maintaining the data integrity of RLG’s data warehouse where information on collection and recycling metrics reside.
- Construct purchase orders, statements of work, and approve vendor invoices and deliverables in accordance with agreed upon requirements.
- Investigate upcoming legislation with recycling and take-back requirements (electronics and other materials) for operational components and provide support as needed to develop and execute the operational plan (collection, logistics, recycling, etc).
- Build strategic relationships with vendors (collectors, logistics providers, recyclers, etc) to ensure they deliver services per the requirements specified.
This includes networking in person or virtually.
- Conduct data analysis to produce reports which track key performance indicators with respect to performance of the collection and recycling networks.
- Plan, organize and / or manage projects on an ad-hoc basis related to current and future Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) development opportunities and operational support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, environmental, or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience related to responsibilities outlined above
- Confident in the Microsoft Office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel database management, which includes QA / QC of vendor data, and ability to efficiently transform non-Excel based data into usable databases.
- Demonstrated ability of showing attention to detail and maintain extremely organized records regarding state requirements, vendor data, customer requirements, and related communications.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- High self-motivation, time management skills, goal-oriented, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel up to 40% percent of the year, primarily throughout US.
- Within driving distance to RLG Iselin, NJ office
Preferable
- Working knowledge of electronics recycling industry standards (R2V3, eStewards, ISO, NAID) and environmental health and safety (EHS)
- Background in EPR for electronics and other materials
- Microsoft Access database management experience
- Background in auditing of the electronics recycling industry standards and managing corrective action plans (CAPs)
- Experience in project management

Location :
The position is hybrid and must be able to be in our Iselin, New Jersey office for part of the work week. Relocation assistance is not provided.
