We are looking for a TEMP Food Services Cook who is responsible for preparing our set menu lunch, dinner, and snacks Monday through Friday each week and for delivering the prepared evening meals.
This position is a full-time temporary position with the possibility of a full-time permanent position.
Work location is located 15 mi south of Belen, NM
Compensation : $17 hourly

Responsibilities :
Primary Job Responsibilities :
- Food purchasing assignments as needed
- Organize and maintain a clean and effective work environment to inspection-ready standards
- Organize all food and food-related items to inspection-ready standards
- Provide direction in planning school snacks
- Contact the supervisor as needed to request menu changes to utilize economical products and / or donated items
- Provide recipes as requested
- Provide instruction to residents in meal preparation as assigned
- Assure compliance with food services regulations
- Maintain the kitchen area according to cleanliness standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Special Knowledge and Abilities :
- Knowledge of nutrition
- Knowledge of meal preparation
- Effective cooking skills
- Knowledge of food services regulations
- Ability to teach meal preparation skills
Experience Preferred :
Experience in food services
Education Preferred :
- High School diploma
- Food Services and Food Handling Education
