We are currently seeking an experienced Transportation / Road Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a background in Civil Engineering and in-depth knowledge of Road Construction, Road / bridge Construction, and Roadway Design.
Position Overview : The Transportation / Road Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and constructing roadways and bridges for the organization.
This individual will be responsible for analyzing current structures and recommending solutions for existing problems, as well as managing projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and design roadway and bridge construction projects
- Manage projects from conception to completion
- Analyze current structures and recommend solutions for existing problems
- Prepare plans, technical specifications, estimates, and bid documents
- Provide project management, oversight, and technical support
- Maintaining records and documentation related to projects
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project completion
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Road Construction, Road / bridge Construction, and Roadway Design
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related software
Working Knowledge of Indiana Design Manual (IDM), Indiana Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (IMUTCD), INDOT Standard Specifications and Standard Drawings.
