Data Entry Clerk
Description :
A Data Entry Clerk is aprofessional responsible for accurately and efficiently enteringdata into computer systems maintaining records and performingvarious administrative tasks.
The primary duties of a Data EntryClerkinclude :
- Enteringcustomer and account data from source documents into computerdatabases within set time limits
- Compilingverifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare source datafor computer entry
- Reviewing data fordeficiencies or errors correcting any incompatibilities andchecking output
- Maintaining accurate anduptodate records files and databases
- Organizingfiles collecting and managing data to be entered into thecomputer
- Performing general office tasks suchas scanning documents answering phones and responding toinquiries
- Verifying and editing data as neededto ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintainingconfidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive orconfidentialinformation
