Job Description :

We are hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician on NIGHT SHIFT! Do you want to work at a leading steel manufacturing company that puts safety first?

Physical Requirements :

• Frequent standing and walking.
• Occasional sitting, below waist level work, balancing, carrying, reaching, fine motor skills, forceful motion, and lifting up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities :

• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on installed electromechanical equipment and effectively troubleshoot complex problems associated with electromechanical machinery and systems.
• Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair.
• Be a valued member of the maintenance team, interacting with production, industrial maintenance, and cross-functionally to ensure reliability of equipment, service, safety, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three plus years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience with industrial electronics, AC / DC theory, power transmission, test instruments and instrumentation, VFDs, PLCs, ladder logic, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of industrial equipment using schematic diagrams and equipment manuals as guides.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation.
• Great teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• Steel industry experience.
• Welding and light fabrication experience.
