Position Description : As an HR Administrator, you will join a versatile and experienced team of HR professionals with the opportunity to expand HR knowledge and hone skills.
Opportunities to learn Unemployment Claims Management, FMLA & ADA Processing, Policy Development, Job Descriptions, State Labor Law Compliance, Handbooks, Conducting Investigations, and much more are available as our team members grow and develop in their work.
This position is 100% in person. Position Responsibilities : 100.00% - Responsibility #1 - HR Department Support / Administration
Responds to mail for UIA, FMLA and disability.
Completes bi-weekly new hire reporting.
Completes weekly Equifax upload.
Administering background checks.
Completes background check invoice processing (backup)
Reviews MiWam checks (weekly).
Responds to subpoenas within established deadline.
Support the HR department in implementing programs.
Identify ways to improve policies and procedures.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Verification of employment.
Supports creation and revision of SOPs.
Assists with the creation of employee handbooks and / or policies.
Responsibility #2 - Client Relations
Reviews and assigns cases in Salesforce.
Immediately responds to all client inquiries within 24 hours of receipt.
Timely (by deadline) responds to all UIA notices and attends hearings as needed.
Responds to all FMLA (by timelines established by DOL) and disability in a timely (by deadline) manner.
Responsibility #3- Government Regulations
Follows all state and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Protects the company from liability and exposure.
Responsibility #4- Personal Development
Keeps up to date on changes to state and federal law through continuous education and publication.
Continues to learn and grow as an HR professional through continuous education.
Completes all mandatory training.
Share ideas that will help you and / or the company grow.
Additional job duties as assigned.
Performance Measurement : Accurate (no errors and / or complaints), timely (by deadline) and consistent with required duties.
Attendance
Alignment of personal and Company goals and objectives.
Follows all state and local laws. As well as company policies and procedures.
Provides timely (by deadline), accurate (no errors and / or complaints) and complete HR reports.
Completion of mandatory training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : HR Administrator - 1-3 years HR / Work Comp / Customer Service Experience.
Experience in PEO (Professional Employer Organization) preferred
Highly ethical with the ability to understand and review state and federal law, as well as company policies and procedures.
Bachelors degree in human resources, communication, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
PHR preferred, but not required
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
General knowledge of Internet navigation and research, email, fax transmissions, phone communication, and copy equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
