About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2541 To $2823 Job Title : CT Technologist Job Specialty : MSB Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 4pm-12am, 5x7.
50 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 37.50 Experience : At least 1 year of CT experience; Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program License : New York State License (L.
R.T) Certifications : - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with current CT certification- BLS certification Must-Have : MRI experience Job Description : Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure it is calibrated and operating correctly before any patient study.
- Administer injections of radioactive material as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol.- Adhere to departmental documentation policies by completing all necessary logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, and follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
- Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery, ensuring the proper receipt per policy and procedure. Verify activity level before administration.
- Perform CT procedures following prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.- Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patients' needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology Department.
