Job Summary :

The Associate Vice President of Clinical Services at Encircle Therapy will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and strategic oversight to ensure the effective operation and sustainability of all clinic locations.

They will work closely with the executive team and other stakeholders to advance the mission and goals of the organization.

This role will hold significant responsibility for ensuring the financial and operational success of Encircle Therapy while maintaining a strong focus on clinical excellence, client satisfaction, and team accountability.

This position is hybrid, with both remote / home based work and in-person work. Ideal candidates are located in Salt Lake City or the surrounding area for participation in events and meetings at or near Encircle homes.

This is a full time position Monday - Friday. The role reports to the VP of Operations.

Compensation package includes :

  • Salary : starting at $95,000 - $115,000 annual salary, depending on experience
  • Benefits package includes Cigna medical (PPO or HDHP option), dental, vision plans and employer paid life insurance
  • Holidays : Thirteen+ paid holidays, including (MLK Jr., Juneteenth, and Indigenous People’s Day), plus LGBTQIA+ activism days.
  • PTO : 3-weeks (15-days)

Responsibilities :

  • Clinical Responsibility :
  • Maintain 5 sessions per week (even with cancellations and no-shows)
  • Leadership and Team Management :
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical directors at all locations and oversee the entire clinical team
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture across the Encircle Therapy team
  • Contribute to the yearly Encircle Therapy Strategy
  • Work closely with the VP of Operations and Executive Director to ensure the sustainability and viability of therapy services
  • Hold clinicians accountable for meeting performance and service delivery standards
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and effectiveness
  • Clinical Oversight :
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, culturally sensitive, and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy services
  • Develop and maintain clinical best practices and standards, including creating policies and conducting clinic-wide training
  • Collaborate with Clinical Directors to ensure all clinicians meet expectations
  • Strategic Planning :
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the clinic's strategic plan
  • Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in service delivery
  • Lead the development of new therapeutic services that align with the organization's mission
  • Financial and Reporting Responsibility :
  • Ensure therapists meet all insurance billing expectations
  • Monitor and report on financial and clinical performance of individual clinicians
  • Oversee and ensure that grant requirements are met for the clinic
  • Track financial goals and progress towards self-sustainability
  • Collaboration and Partnership :
  • Collaborate with AVP of Programs and local Home Teams to support programming teams and services.
  • Help supervise program internships that require a licensed clinician as the internship supervisor.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with universities and therapy programs, including guest lectures, presentations, and trainings
  • Foster and maintain working relationships with other agencies, clinics, non-profits, and organizations with shared missions / values
  • Maintain membership with organizations that foster a community of reciprocal support (e.g., LGBTQ Therapist Guild of Utah)
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance :
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance measures and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Community Engagement :
  • Represent Encircle Therapy at community events, conferences, and in media relations
  • Advocate for Encircle’s mission and LGBTQ+ people in alignment with Encircle’s messaging strategy
  • Reporting :
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient satisfaction scores, GAD-7, and PHQ-9 anonymized data
  • Identify areas for improvement and benchmark performance against other organizations
  • Regularly review financial reports to track the organization's clinical revenue, expenses, and profitability
  • Other Responsibilities :
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Clinical Psychologist (PhD) or Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC)
  • Business background or education preferred with direct experience running a private practice or working in a non-profit.
  • 4+ years of full licensure
  • Proven experience in leadership in a mental health or healthcare organization.
  • Current independent licensure in Utah and additional states as required. If applying from out of state, must be licensed in Utah before the first day of work
  • Completion of required continuing education to maintain clinical license and enhance professional skills
  • Maintain active and unrestricted clinical license(s)
  • Clinical or professional experience with and sensitivity to LGBTQ+ issues, BIPOC communities, and preferably with clients 12+ and individuals, relationships, or family work.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold team members accountable and coach them to meet and exceed expectations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Highly adaptable, with proven experience in effectively managing and coaching teams through periods of change and transition
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot strategy based on data-driven insights
