Responsibilities
Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist for mail order pharmacy.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Communicate with patients by phone.
- Serve as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
Education :
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note : Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,
if applicable.
Additional Preferences
- TX Registered Pharmacist Technician Registration is needed for this role.
- 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician Experience, preferred
