We are currently partnered up with a Plastics Manufacturing company in their search to backfill their Quality Control Manager position.

Job Description
The Quality Control Manager - Plastics Manufacturing will be responsible for the following :
- Establish quality standards and procedures to ensure consistent product and service quality.
- Review and approve quality control plans, product specifications, and testing protocols.
- Conduct regular audits of the production process, identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to product quality and safety.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
- Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers and vendors.
- Develop and implement supplier quality agreements and conduct supplier audits.
- Work closely with the customer service and sales teams to address customer complaints and concerns related to product quality.
- Implement corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction and reduce return rates.
- Train and mentor quality control staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas of concern.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality control.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Quality Control Manager - Plastics Manufacturing will have the following qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in Plastics Manufacturing or a related industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or other relevant certifications are a plus.
