Job Overview :
A law firm in New York City is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Energy and Infrastructure Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, be admitted to the New York State Bar and / or D.C. Bar, and have a solid background in U.
S. domestic renewables, including solar, wind, energy storage, and alternative fuels.
Duties :
- Handle all aspects of U.S. renewables transactions, serving as the lead associate on projects.
- Draft and negotiate debt and tax equity documents, representing both sponsors and lenders.
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of energy and infrastructure matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external parties to facilitate successful deal closures.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar and / or D.C. Bar is required.
- Proven background in renewables, with a focus on U.S. domestic projects.
- Experience with debt and tax equity documents in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of project documents and transactions in the renewables industry.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admission to the New York State Bar and / or D.C. Bar.
Skills :
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation and drafting abilities.
