Duration : 06+ Months (Strong Possible Extension)
B shift : Friday - Sunday 6am - 6 : 30pm
Responsibilities :
- Manufacture, assemble, and test New Glenn (GS1) First Stage & Second Stage structure.
- Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
- Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles.
- Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and / or maintenance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
- Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations and other ground support equipment as required.
- Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, callipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
Qualifications :
- 5 to 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing & aerospace structures (Sheetmetal)
- Experience in Drilling Aluminum, Composite & Titanium structures
- Experience in at least one of the following is required : Heavy (Primary Structures drilling experience) (Secondary Structures drilling experience)
- Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, understands written work instructions and test procedures.
