Koch Industries is seeking a Tax Manager SALT to join our dynamic team. The tax team at Koch Industries takes greater ownership in their roles through an enhanced knowledge that comes from in-depth interaction with the businesses they support.

What You Will Do
- Lead the overall state tax reporting process, including estimated / extension payments, income / franchise tax work papers and return review, amended returns, RARs, etc.
- Coordinate with our external partners to complete the state tax return preparation process.
- Build and develop relationships across the tax organization and other Koch companies to understand and optimize the various state processes and business tax positions.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements and share ideas for transformation that could drive value within the tax organization.
- Analyze tax liability drivers and variations from previous years and assist in preparing for discussions with federal tax teams and tax directors.
- Ensure tax reporting accurately reflects business reorganizations, asset sales, tax positions, and generation / utilization of state tax attributes.
Basic Qualifications
- Progressive career experience in corporate or international income taxation, tax accounting, financial reporting, or accounting related roles
- Experience leading a high-volume compliance process with multiple stakeholders
- Experience managing large volumes of data from multiple systems and using advanced tools to perform analysis and develop a point of view
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience presenting financial concepts to various audiences to effectively engage stakeholders and partnering with others to bridge gaps and solve problems
- Experience with both corporate and partnership state income tax
- Experience prioritizing multiple projects, communicating results, and driving initiatives forward
- Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, or other data automation platforms
