About the role - you will :
Work with the Seagate Channel and End-User sales teams to identify opportunities and position solutions for Seagate Systems products, Lyve Cloud, Mobile Arrays, RAID Systems, JBOD, and Storage Server platforms.
Customers will vary from Distribution, Channel OEM, Reseller / VAR, and end-users.

Own and manage the technical relationship with the customer, managing the technical portion of the sales process from prospecting to implementing the hands-on evaluation / POC process.
Understand the customer’s technical roadmap, systems architecture, pain points, competitive options, and business drivers, establishing the role of trusted advisor with the customer.
Travel, as needed, domestically and internationally.
Maintain opportunities, status, and actions in CRM and other systems.
Proactively learn and apply industry technologies to customer solutions (including On-Premise and Cloud Storage Technologies, Software Defined Storage Solutions, OS / Applications / File Systems, Server Virtualization).
Identify gaps in the Seagate portfolio and suggest products or partners to fill these gaps.
Provide leading technical expertise in customer-focused solutions for key vertical markets.
About you :
Established track record working with storage customers to align and achieve successful outcomes while ensuring a satisfying customer experience.
Strong technical experience and understanding of computing technologies used in full solution on premise, private / public cloud, and edge computing environments.
Ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with external and internal customers.
Ability to work hands-on for prototypes, demos, assisting customers during the evaluation process.
Team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment.
Analytical mind with a strong customer focus.
Self-starter.
Your experience includes :
Significant experience in the storage industry with hands-on experience in Cloud storage and / or enterprise storage systems.
Experience working directly with customers in a pre-Sales Systems Engineering role.
Awareness of current trends in Cloud storage, S3 Protocol, and on-prem storage solutions (File, Object, Block).
Experience and / or strong understanding of server virtualization, operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMWare), file systems, data management, high availability, disaster recovery solutions, big data analytics, HPC.
Software Defined Storage experience desirable.
Bachelor degree and / or equivalent experience.
Location :
Location : U.S. Remote; CA Preferred, will consider other regions in Western US.
Travel : Travel can be up to 40%, with overnight stays, and require the ability to travel internationally.
Seagate is able to offer virtual employment for this position in various states.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $132,000 - $195,000, based on work location and additional factors.
This position is also eligible to earn additional commission-based compensation pursuant to an established commission sales plan.
