Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Community Support Team (CST) Lead to join our team. The CST Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Community Support Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care.

This role involves providing clinical supervision, managing a small caseload, and ensuring the team adheres to best practices in mental health care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, experience in community-based services, and a passion for leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Leadership and Supervision : Provide leadership and clinical supervision to the Community Support Team, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments : Perform and oversee thorough assessments of clients’ mental health, including psychosocial, emotional, behavioral, and developmental factors.
  • Develop and Oversee Treatment Plans : Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring they align with clients’ needs and goals.

Provide guidance to team members on treatment planning and intervention strategies.

Provide Direct Therapeutic Services : Manage a small caseload of up to 48 clients, delivering evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy sessions using various modalities (e.

g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).

  • Quality Assurance : Ensure that all CST services meet the highest standards of care and comply with agency policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
  • Team Coordination : Coordinate care within the CST and with other service providers, ensuring a seamless and integrated approach to client care.
  • Documentation and Compliance : Oversee and ensure the maintenance of accurate, timely, and thorough documentation by the team in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Crisis Intervention : Lead the team in responding to and managing crisis situations, providing appropriate interventions and referrals to ensure client safety and well-being.
  • Client Advocacy : Advocate for clients’ needs within the community, including liaising with external agencies, schools, and other service providers.
  • Professional Development : Facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for CST members, including training, supervision, and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications :

  • Licensure : Must hold a valid and active clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Education : Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a community-based or outpatient setting.

Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is required.

  • Supervisory Experience : Proven experience in supervising clinical teams or staff, with the ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
  • Skills : Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills. Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Cultural Competence : Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Technology : Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
  • Commitment to Ethics : Adherence to professional ethical guidelines and standards of practice.

Work Environment :

This position involves working in an outpatient setting with potential for community-based visits. The role requires the ability to manage a caseload, engage with clients in both in-office and remote environments, and lead a team across various locations.
