Electrochemical Test Equipment Engineer

Job Description

The Bosch Research and Technology Center in Sunnyvale, CA is looking for a highly motivated engineer to support Bosch research and development, including

Primary responsibilities :

• Perform regular monitoring, maintenance, and calibration of test equipment
• Work with equipment manufacturer to troubleshoot and improve equipment
• Design and construct devices for novel testing
• Set-up and carry out tests including scripting within the equipment environment
• Collaborate with experimentalists and modelers in a cutting-edge research and development environment

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry
• 1+ years of experience working with electrical test equipment ( fuel cell test stand, electrolysis test stand, battery cycler, potentiostat, etc.

including equipment calibration and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications :

• MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
• Knowledge of electrochemistry, especially fuel cells and / or electrolyzers, and general understanding of thermodynamics and transport phenomena are desirable
• Prior experience with text-based programming such as MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic and / or proprietary software
• Familiarity with programmable logic controller (PLC) concepts
• Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
• Experience fabricating and installing process piping
• Autonomy, attention to detail, flexibility, creativity, excellent communication, and teamwork skills

The base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - $115,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
