TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced VP- Compensation & Total Rewards in Atlanta, GA.
The VP Total Rewards will lead the North American Compensation, Benefits, and Mobility teams for TK Elevator by providing leadership, strategic guidance, and expertise to team members and activities, including supporting executive and sales compensation plans, annual compensation planning, equity and cash incentive programs, and benefits and rewards programs.
This position is responsible for creating and driving the strategic direction and execution of all compensation, benefits, and processes that align with TK Elevator’s evolution to a high-performing, innovative culture.
This role also drives continuous process improvement, recommending strategies and changes that are required to ensure market competitiveness in order to attract and retain top talent, keep costs within budget and ensure continued legal compliance, all while driving operational excellence and efficiency.
This leader will leverage influence and a bias for action to develop compelling business cases for change, innovative strategies, and cost-effective solutions that align with the HR transformation strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with extensive expertise in designing and implementing creative broad-based, sales, and executive compensation programs / structures within large complex environments.
As a key member of the North American HR Leadership Team, the VP Total Rewards will work collaboratively to influence global strategy and work in close partnership with executive leaders, and will report directly to the CHRO, Americas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Lead the North American end-to-end compensation and benefits strategies for the organization and elevate rewards strategies to support the company’s growth, talent, engagement and culture ambitions.
Direct the strategy, planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and administration of all compensation and benefits programs to maintain the organization’s objectives and competitive position in the marketplace, inclusive of : salary structures, annual pay planning process, bonus plan development and administration, sales incentive plan design, equity compensation, health and wellness programs, and retirement plans for corporate, field and union employees.
- Provide strategy, expertise, counsel, and education on executive compensation, working directly with the CEO, CHRO and global Compensation Committee.
- Lead the delivery of salary and annual merit and incentive plan design and actions, long-term incentive award program design and actions, off-cycle equity grants, reporting, development of, plus ongoing maintenance of salary ranges through compensation surveys and trend analysis, benchmarking and other market data, and collaboration on new hire compensation packages.
- Collaborate with IT and other COEs to create a compelling vision and plan to drive process and HR system transformation that ensures the delivery of cost-effective, integrated and seamless operations across the HR landscape.
- Build and develop a high performing, solution-oriented, empowered team that effectively designs, implements, partners, and supports delivery of key Total Rewards programs.
Drives engagement of the team while creating solid partnerships up, down and across the human resources community and the business.
Consult with business executives, leaders and HR partners to continuously strengthen the efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness of all rewards solutions and services.
Collaborate with finance and other leaders to analyze key program metrics to understand implications of reward programs on company financials.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record of designing compensation and benefits strategies, programs and policies that align to the business strategy.
The successful candidate must be energized by making a mark on the organization, be forward thinking and creative, credible and dedicated to producing high quality deliverables.
In addition, they need to have a background that has taught them effective project management, platform and influencing skill with exceptional quality and speed.
The right candidate is a strategic planner with sound technical skills, strong analytical ability, superior judgment, and is a self-directed individual who is measured, resilient, and a team player.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, Law or related field
- 15+ years of strong progressive Compensation and Total Rewards experience
- Previous experience building, leading, and inspiring a high functioning team
- Prior experience creating a governance structure within the Compensation function
- Must be a good educator and communicator, with the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner. Adapts communication style to fit audience, ranging from hourly employees to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, line management and HR business partners.
- Strong executive compensation experience
- Demonstrated sales compensation design experience
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement
- Proven track record of navigating through change
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation and rewards laws and regulations
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
- Masters or advanced degree in a similar field
- Total rewards experience within a large industrial organization
- Global compensation experience
- Labor relations total rewards experience
- Experience with SuccessFactors or ADP
- CCP, CEP, CBP certification(s)
- Exposure to Board and Comp Committee meetings
