Cybersecurity Developer
Key Role :
Leverage expertise in and techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) development for emulation of cyber adversaries. Support design, development, testing, modification and operational application of attack and exploitation tools including industry standard software engineering concepts and languages such as C+, Python, PHP, and Assembly.
Develop and utilize testing methodology for threat emulation and vulnerability validation. Provide current and emerging exploitation mitigation strategies implemented by both Windows and X-nix based operating systems.
Research various cyber actors’ TTPs, organizational structures, capabilities, personas, and environments, and integrate findings into Cyber Red Teaming or penetration test operations.
Participate in the development of advanced hacking capabilities such as botnet, client deception, advanced Trojans, data exfiltration, mobile device discovery and exploitation.
Basic Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in exploit development, reverse engineering, red team capabilities and engineering
- Experience with researching cyber actors’ TTPs, organizational structures, capabilities, personas, and environments, and integrating findings into penetration tests or web risk assessment operations
- Experience with planning and executing technical cyber assessments or penetration tests
- Experience with the development and use of testing methodology for cloud-based and networked systems
- Experience with modification, testing, and use of computer network attack and exploitation tools
- Experience with using Python, Assembly, C, C++, .Net, Perl, PHP, Javascript, or Ruby programming languages
- Knowledge of web server configuration including Microsoft IIS, Apache HTTP, or Apache Tomcat
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Two or more of the following certifications : Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE), Web Application Penetration Tester (WAPT), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Additional Qualifications :
- Experience working with Operational Testing Agencies
- Experience with reverse-engineering and debugging of Windows and X-nix based applications and malware utilizing industry standard tools such as IDA Pro, WinDbg, and OllyDbg
- Knowledge of Navy information system architecture
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
- Ability to design, build, and implement software, Cyber assessment tools, information assurance products, or computer security applications
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing for briefing and documentation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
