Responsibilities
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies including, but not limited to.
- Pulling parts, packaging, and weighing items, creating and printing shipping labels, and completing proper shipping compliance documents (bills of lading, international documents, etc.)
- Interacts with carriers and third-party logistic companies to schedule pick-ups while ensuring customer delivery requirements and dates are met.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries. inspects for damage / quality and promptly delivers to the appropriate department or storage location.
- Safely operate forklifts, electrical hoist cranes, pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machine
- Participates in inventory cycle counts and maintains an accurate log of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately
- Engages staff, vendors, and drivers with a positive attitude
Qualifications :
- High school diploma and 3 years’ experience or equivalent
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and shipping software
- Forklift Certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- High sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks on time.
