Randstad Federal is seeking a PMO Manager in support of a federal program at IRS
responsibilities :
Objectives of this Role :
Standardize Project Management practice and methodology
Develop project assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement
Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance Oversee multiple projects, ensuring goals are reached
Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Manages team of Project Managers; Oversees the schedules and responsibilities of staff in the department.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of all Projects.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies & procedures.
Primary Responsibilities :
Independently lead; ensure all team members understand the business value and objectives tied to their effort Responsible for total cost, performance, and schedule execution for all Manufacturing Operations projects
Design projects templates and playbooks to be used for new projects
Collaborate with the leadership to set direction, objectives, and long-term vision for cross-functional large-scale projects, and deliver key programs to deliver business success.
Serve as a trusted partner to all stakeholders by working cross-departmentally with partners at all levels, including senior leaders, to achieve successful delivery of strategic programs
Scope and plan projects (set goals and objectives, build project plans, determine resources and budgets, identify risks, dependencies, budgets, and contingency planning, develop a change management plan, and set important metrics) from project initiation all the way through to delivery
Proactively identify and quantify risks and issues; lead development and delivery of mitigation, and contingency plans, and resolve blocking issues with teams
Own ongoing grooming of project requests & backlog
Manage third party vendors and consultant as needed Ability to travel when needed
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree 5-7 years in an advanced management role (preference given to those with program management experience)
Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
Working knowledge of manufacturing operations
Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
Preferred Qualifications :
MBAProgram Management Professional (PgMP) certification or PMP
