Structural Engineering Manager Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Demonstrated ability to sign and stamp individual work as well as review and stamp the work of other structural engineers or EITs
- Minimum 5 years in the design and detailing of structures steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Proficient with structural design software such as RAM, RISA, Enercalc, or similar programs
- Experience mentoring / training structural EITs
- Solid project management experience and proficient with MS Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and have your own US work authorization
Structural Engineering Manager Responsibilities :
- Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations as required for all phases of the design of new buildings and structures as well renovation projects
- Interface closely with clients and other project team members effectively
- Write and edit structural specifications
- Perform structural investigations and feasibility studies, including providing cost estimates when required
- Direct BIM Modelers as required to complete structural drawings
- Review of shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs and construction questions, construction site visits, etc.
- Perform site visits as required to verify existing conditions, dimensions, elevations, etc.
- Assist project managers in the development of internal design budgets and schedules as required
