Job Title : Machine Operator

Job Description

SUMMARY : Polishers are responsible for the final finish on stainless steel, bronze, and aluminum fabricated parts. The role includes both Polisher and Press Brake Operator positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Polisher :

• Make polishing belts and discs
• Polish product, and teach polishing techniques to others
• Use different polishing methods and machinery to obtain specified finishes
• Perform various duties in the plant; move and handle heavy items; requires manual dexterity to operate factory equipment
• Keep an accurate time sheet
• Perform work in compliance with all safety, quality, EHS, and production expectations
• Perform other duties as assigned; job duties are subject to change as directed by management
• Forklift driving as required, once certified

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Press Brake Operator :

• Set up brake press and other bending equipment to bend, notch, punch, form, or straighten the frame parts
• Set up Shear and other metal cutting equipment and operate to cut materials to desired dimensions
• Prepare, load, and unload material for operation
• Check width, length, and angles of metal
• Read and understand work orders and / or drawings to produce required parts for finished products
• Precision bending to flat pieces of sheet metal into fully formed frames
• Inspect parts for defects after being formed and take action if needed
• Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above
• Help train and / or assist others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures
• Responsible for making equipment adjustments
• Reporting production and quality data
• Ensure operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures, and ensure all tools are in good condition and in current calibration prior to use
• Use a forklift to move material as needed
• Perform work in compliance with all safety, quality, EHS, and production expectations

Job Type

This is a contract to hire position. Pay $18-$22+

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Stevens, Pennsylvania.
