Registered Nurse - Women's Services / Lactation Consultant

What We Are Looking For

Navarro Regional Hospital's Women's Services department is now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to work in our thriving department at our 162 bed acute care hospital.

The unit consist of 5 Labor rooms and 9 Post-partum doing an average of 50 deliveries per month.

What You Will Do

Job Duties :

• Assist mothers with breastfeeding by providing one-on-one bedside consultation
• Provides education for patients and staff on breastfeeding
• Assist with recovery of c-section patients
• Administer IV medication along with anesthesia and pain management medication
• Implements safety / infection control measures

Minimum Requirements :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas Nursing License
• BLS & ACLS upon hire
• CLC or IBCLC upon hire

Preferred Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• One (1) year of experience highly preferred
• NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Intermediate and / or Advanced certification

Working Hours :

• 7 : 00a - 7 : 00p
• Self-scheduling unit
• Weekends and Holidays required
