Registered Behavior Technician, Douglas County
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RBT to join our team in Douglas County, CO. This is a full-time role supporting special education needs across the school district, serving multiple locations.
This teacher should be flexible with the ability to independently travel between school campuses.
This is a unique opportunity to build experience in diverse Special Education settings, build relationships with many students, and work with collaborative Sped teams.
The RBT will work closely with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities to implement behavior intervention plans and support their academic, social, and behavioral needs.
This role comes with a competitive hourly rate between $18 - $22 per hour, paid weekly. This role will be approximately 7am to 3pm daily, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Responsibilities :
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address challenging behaviors and teach new skills to students with autism and related developmental disorders.
- Provide direct, one-on-one instruction and support to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment goals.
- Collect and record data on student progress and behavior using established methods and tools, and assist in data analysis to inform treatment planning.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to ensure consistency and coordination of interventions across educational settings.
- Assist in the development of behavior support strategies, visual schedules, and structured routines to promote positive behavior and academic engagement.
- Implement reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques to encourage appropriate behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in school.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to support ongoing learning and collaboration.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress, behavior strategies, and recommendations for support at home. Benefits :

Qualifications :
- Ability to pass a Fingerprint Background Check
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, behavior analysis, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children or adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in a school or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques, including discrete trial teaching (DTT), naturalistic teaching strategies, and behavior reduction procedures.
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and implement evidence-based interventions with fidelity.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and respond to crisis situations as needed.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the field of behavior analysis and special education.
