Primary roles and responsibilities
- Replenishes supplies at service stations and tables with necessary supplies before, during and after service
- Polishes all glassware, cups and stemware to be used in the dining room
- Understands and works while upholding general sanitary and safety practice guidelines
- Operates dishwashers efficiently and with care
- Washes glassware and flatware and then polishes it
- Cleans and sanitizes dishwasher mats, dish carts and dish racks
- Assists in receiving and stocking incoming inventory
- Safely handles and stores cleaning products
- Sweeps, mops, and organizes the dish area routinely and as needed
Requirements
Able to multi-task
Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
Works well as part of a team while assuming their role independently
Previous experience working as a dishwasher / polisher, an asset
Able to work well under pressure, is receptive to feedback and direction
Excellent organizational skills
Able to spend long periods of time standing
