We are looking for a highly analytical, hard-working and self-directed individual who is excited by the opportunity to work closely with the firm’s Investment Team to evaluate, structure and execute transactions.

The Senior Analyst, Investment Team is a results-oriented person, passionate about the type of work Generate is doing, and looking to apply their experience to help scale a growing business and drive critical internal initiatives.

What you may do at Generate Capital as a Senior Analyst on the Investment Team :

  • Conduct due diligence on portfolios of infrastructure assets and resource efficiency companies utilizing financial statements, original and third-party research, and market data.
  • Create and adapt sophisticated financial models for pricing, forecasting, and operating purposes.
  • Analyze financial information relating to specific investments, e.g., operating results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements to determine how a portfolio and / or organization is positioned to deliver for investors.
  • Support the preparation of investment memoranda and recommendations to Generate’s investment committee.
  • Prepare formal presentations, reports, and related project assignments, assembling data from multiple sources.
  • Support the due diligence and execution of tax equity, debt, and other financing.
  • Support business development and ongoing relationship management with partners.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to reporting on Generate’s key performance indicators.
  • Stay up to date on market developments and new technologies.

Candidate qualifications & core characteristics :

  • A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity investing, or similarly highly analytical and demanding roles with a focus on rigorous financial modeling.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills.
  • Experience performing due diligence, financial analysis, and executing transactions, ideally in resource efficiency investments.
  • Experience synthesizing and clearly communicating findings of analyses in written memos and presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple assignments while executing high quality, timely, and accurate work product.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and meet high expectations with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting ambiguous situations and new challenges.
  • Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default mode.

Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to : skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $105,000 - $140,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
