Job description
The District Manager is responsible for achieving optimum financial results for the district by maximizing top-line sales potential and ensuring superior service to our customers.
This position manages the sales plans and objectives, overall merchandising, operations, training and employee development.
Must be based out of New York City
Profile
Responsibilities :
- Manage a district with volume of 9+ million and supervise approximately 11 stores.
- Responsible for the profitability of all stores, increase sales / profits and control store expenses.
- Recruitment and retention of top talent.
- Focuses on multi-unit management and supervises areas of the store including : customer service, human resources, loss prevention and financial results.
- Conduct store visits to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company programs and standards.
- Think strategically and understand the business.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Professional requirements
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit experience in a specialty retail environment.
- Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop and promote quality people and create a team environment.
- Proactive and creative problem solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Energetic, results oriented and competitive with a drive to succeed.
- Strong financial acumen and proficient computer skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75% is a must
