Position Summary :
The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all cost accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.

In This Role You Will :
Cost Accounting Management : Oversee the cost accounting system and ensure accurate and timely cost reporting. Manage the preparation and analysis of cost reports and financial statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting : Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs and provide actionable insights to management.
Inventory Management : Ensure accurate inventory valuation and control. Conduct periodic physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
Cost Control : Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives. Monitor production costs, overhead, and other cost drivers to ensure efficient operations.
Financial Analysis : Perform detailed financial analysis to support business decisions. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Standard Costing : Establish and maintain standard costing procedures. Analyze variances and update standard costs as necessary.
Compliance and Auditing : Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with internal and external auditors for cost accounting-related audits.
Team Leadership : Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with operations, procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate cost information and support company objectives.
Qualifications / Skills :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred.
Skills :
Experience : 5+ years of experience in cost accounting is preferred.
Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software, NetSuite preferably, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
