We are seeking qualified MedicalTechnologists / Medical Laboratory Scientists to join our team. Thesuccessful candidateswill :
- Work 80hours per pay period ( 40 hours aweek)
- Primarily offtour shifts from 3 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM includingweekends andholidays.
- ContractLength : Base Year Plus 4 OptionYears
KeyResponsibilities :
- Performroutine and specialized clinical laboratory testing in areas suchas Chemistry Hematology Microbiology and BloodBank.
- Ensure accuracy in testresults by adhering to laboratory policies andprocedures.
- Perform resolve anddoent quality control activities including troubleing outliers andrecognizing discrepantresults.
- Maintain and troublelaboratory instruments including performing calibrations andinstrument maintenance.
- Processspecimens and enter data in a timely manner adhering to elishedprotocols.
- Conduct proficiencytesting and adhere to safety and qualitystandards.
- Communicate critical testresults to healthcare providers ensuring proper doentation andcompliance with elishedprocedures.
- Comply with andlaboratory policies ensuring timely and accurate reporting of testresults.
Requirements
- Education : Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a closely relatedfield.
- Certification : Must possess certification as a Medical LaboratoryScientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist(MT) from the American Medical Technologists(AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology(ASCP) .
- Experience : Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred withexpertise in a wide range of diagnostic procedures and qualitycontrol practices.
- Ability to workindependently and as part of a team during offtourshifts.
- Must be able to work 80 hours per pay period on an offtour shiftschedule.
- Compliance withlaboratory policies and participation in mandatorytrainings.
- U.S. Citizenship orappropriate workauthorization.
