We are seeking an experienced Permanent Experience Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an opportunity to work with a team of passionate legal professionals who are committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients.

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in our legal proceedings, assisting in the preparation, filing, and organization of legal documents, conducting legal research, and ensuring the smooth running of the trial process.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and organize all aspects of documents, files, and databases associated with each specific case litigation
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as affidavits, memorandums, pleadings, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements
• Conduct thorough legal research and fact-checking for case development and trial preparation
• Assist in the preparation and management of trial exhibits and evidence
• Handle all aspects of the discovery process, including drafting requests and responses, coordinating depositions, and managing e-discovery
• Conduct cite-checking, proofreading, and correction of all legal documents for submission to courts
• Coordinate and manage the trial calendar, ensuring all deadlines and dates are met
• Provide assistance during trial by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts
• Maintain communication with clients and provide frequent case updates
• Collaborate with the legal team to prepare for trial by organizing evidence and assisting with witness preparation

Qualifications :

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal
• Proven experience in the preparation of legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing trial calendars
• Familiarity with state and federal court rules, e-filing, and e-discovery
• Proficiency in legal citation checking, legal writing, and creating legal documents
• Strong knowledge of the litigation process, including the handling of personal injury cases
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal information
• Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
• A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved institution is preferred
• Experience in appellate work would be an added advantage
