Stock Control Associate - Shipping

The Stock Control Associate in Shipping has a strong work ethic, with an attention to detail, motivation and exceeds customer expectations by accurate work and high productivity, while performing key responsibilities based on assigned job function.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensures Mouser meets or exceeds customer’s expectations by meeting and exceeding established quality / accuracy
• Strictly adheres to all posted procedures
• Maintains acceptable attendance based on Mouser Absence Policy guidelines, which are measured against the number of unscheduled missed hours.

Must be at work on time. Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job

• Demonstrates a positive team oriented demeanor and approach toward work assignments. Contributes to ongoing success of the entire warehouse team by willingly accepting and embracing other duties as required along with willingness to help the department as a whole
• Actively cross-trains in other areas, as required, outside of a primary job function
• Ensures a safe working environment for self and others by adhering to established safety expectations and by following established housekeeping requirements.

Notifies management of any observed safety hazards

• Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization

The following summarizes the key job accountabilities to be performed :

o Pulls parts from bin box or shelving

o Verifies parts to be shipped

o Selects appropriate box and packing material

o Prints packing slip and label

o Packages orders to prevent damage

o Ships product in the Warehouse Control System

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

• Able to use a computer, and handheld computer / iPad (preferred)
• Able to count and match accurately and perform simple math
• Able to read and understand instructions in English
• Strong quality and productivity orientation
• Able to maneuver in aisles 36" wide, stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, grasp, push and pull for 10- 12 hours, and reach, lift and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds from ground level and up to 2' (using stairs and ladders)
• May be trained to operate a powered industrial truck (such as wave, forklift and / or pallet jack) (preferred)
• Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job
• Ability to work overtime and weekends

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior warehouse experience preferred

Stock Control Associate Shipping

o Level 1 is considered entry level.

o Level 2 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 300 PPM and average of 85% of the goal for activity per hour.

o Level 3 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 150 PPM and average of 100% of the goal for activity per hour.

Stock Control Associate Shipping VA Shipper

Must work in a zone that is designated for VA (Value Added) shipping for 50% or more of the hours worked

o Level 1 is considered entry level.

o Level 2 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 300 PPM and average of 85% of the goal for activity per hour.

o Level 3 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 150 PPM and average of 100% of the goal for activity per hour.

Stock Control Associate Shipping HAZMAT

• Must be certified in HAZMAT shipping.
• Must work in a zone that is designated for HAZMAT shipping for 50% or more of the hours worked

o Level 1 is considered entry level.

o Level 2 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 300 PPM and average of 85% of the goal for activity per hour.

o Level 3 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 150 PPM and average of 100% of the goal for activity per hour.

Stock Control Associate Shipping Bulk

Must work in a zone that is designated as bulk for 50% or more of the hours worked

o Level 1 is considered entry level.

o Level 2 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 300 PPM and average of 85% of the goal for activity per hour.

o Level 3 may be achieved by maintaining an error rate less than 150 PPM and average of 100% of the goal for activity per hour.
