Dog Care Attendants Wanted, no experience necessary.
This is a full-time position with a dynamic schedule that varies throughout the year. You can expect more hours during busy periods and fewer hours during slower times, allowing for a balanced and flexible work experience.
Starting pay is $13 per hour during the training period, with the potential to earn $15 per hour upon successful completion of training and demonstration of job proficiency.
Must be over 18. Reliable, self-motivated, have a passion for working with dogs and a desire to keep learning.
Experience : background in animal care a plus but not required.
Education : High School or equivalent.

We are looking for dog trainers in our kennel free dog care center.
A Walk in the Park is on the cutting edge of providing dog services such as kennel free lodging, positive reinforcement training and enrichment based daycare.
We are known for the great care we take of our clients, their dogs and our employees. We offer our dog trainers :
- Training in dog behavior, breed characteristics, stages of development in dogs, dog body language, and stress signals in dogs.
- We teach basic training skills, how to teach a dog to come, sit, wait, leave it, how to walk a dog on a leash. We teach how to lead a group of dogs.
- First aid and pet CPR training. Dog handlers learn to recognize health issues in dogs. How to keep dogs' environment safe, how to sanitize and use the right chemicals safely and in the right order.
- An opportunity to become a Certified Professional Animal Care Provider, a professional dog trainer or an introduction into grooming to get certified as a groom tech, for people that have shown commitment.

- Able to escort dogs of all sizes, lift up to 40 lbs. or more, and carry out the physical job requirements involving kneeling, bending, twisting, standing and working outside in all kinds of weather.
- Willing to work 40 hours or more, some evenings, weekends and holidays are mandatory
Only apply if you can handle and accept these responsibilities :
- Supervise dogs in playgroups; ensure safe levels of play and minimize stress levels in dogs by matching dogs in size, temperament and playstyles.
- Maintain visual observation of and physical proximity to the dogs; engage, interact and move with the dogs as they play.
- Regularly replenish water.
- Ensure you know all dogs in your playgroup and be able to properly identify them.
- Do regular physical checks of the dogs, by checking their eyes, ears, face, body and feet.
- Use proper dog handling techniques. Be able to perform specific training exercises catered to each individual dog.
- Report any unusual behavior, illness or injuries.
- Produce regular reports on dogs and their behavior in the off-leash environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of facility and play areas. Scoop up dog waste and accidents promptly. Vacuuming and wet mopping floors.
Clean toys, water and food bowls, wash towels and bedding, take out trash and perform general cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
