Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a Human Resources Generalist opportunity available. The candidate will preferably be located in Charleston, SC or Arlington, VA, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule in EST;
remote arrangement considered. The HR Generalist will report to the HR Director, partnering with the HR and Recruiting team of 4.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
The HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) which is currently ADP WorkforceNow and personnel files, daily administration of benefits, administering and tracking special leaves (FMLA, Disability, Military / Reservist, Jury Duty, Bereavement, Germany Sick Leave), processing status changes (promotion, merit increase, bonus, transfer, reclassification, etc.
and administering education / training reimbursements. The HR Generalist will be the main point-of-contact for employment verifications and external security investigations.
The HR Generalist will also support the HR Director with compliance initiatives such as monitoring benefits eligibility and other data calls from finance, business development, contracts, etc.
In ADP, the HR Generalist must have knowledge and experience in, and be able to :
- Build Performance & Compensation Dashboards and set up Performance Goals for annual reviews
- Process benefits enrollment and changes
- Manage the Learning Management module, building and assigning corporate trainings
- Create broadcasts and surveys in Voice of the Employee module
- Perform administrative tasking such as data entry, auditing and building reports
Required QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow experience specifically with the Benefits Dashboard, Performance Dashboard, Performance Goals and Compensation Dashboard and Learning Management modules.
- Must have general experience with CostPoint, Deltek (Time & Expense and People)
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and / or Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
- At least 3 years' experience as a human resources professional
- Have a general understating of US labor laws especially ACA, FMLA, ADA, and USERRA
- Excellent professional communication skills
- Must be able to work autonomously and prioritize tasking
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting Federal Contracting companies
- Knowledge of international labor laws in locations such as : Germany, Colombia, Bahrain, UK
- Understanding of Expatriate and TESA employee arrangements
- Membership of SHRM or a local SHRM chapter
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices / conference rooms and buildings on site.
