Responsibilities
- Answer inbound customer inquiries from phone calls or email in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Research and respond to all billing-related issues on a timely basis.
- Collaborate with Billing Technician to obtain answers to issues that require additional information, if necessary.
- Refer inquiries to Accounts Relievable Specialists as appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring resolution of customer issues resulting from an inbound phone call or email.
- Utilize Company-specified document tracking tool and follow all processes and procedures.
- Assist with monitoring and follow up of Medicaid pending efforts, as requested, including assisting with rebilling claims for Medicaid pending patients, as necessary or requested.
- Assist with obtaining Best Available Evidence ( BAE ), as requested.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with long-term care pharmacy billing, minimum one (1) year.
- Effective communication skills and ability to deal with difficult situations in a courteous manner.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Software skills :
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products
