Responsibilities :
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair or replace machine parts, including motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, electrical devices, and production equipment.
- Monitor and listen to mechanical devices to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Disassemble equipment to remove defective parts and inspect components for imperfections.
- Assess used parts for changes in dimensional requirements and make necessary adjustments.
- Adjust and repair functional parts of devices and control instruments as needed.
- Install specialized functional and structural parts in devices to improve performance.
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and machinery, ensuring proper lubrication and cleaning of parts.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED, with at least one year of related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Preferred but not required : Electrician's License.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Set up machines, troubleshoot equipment failures, and perform repair and preventive maintenance, adhering to safety protocols.
- Proficient in PLC troubleshooting, with the ability to read and program code.
- Solid working knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and HVAC control systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings and service manuals.
- Expert in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues related to production and facility equipment efficiently.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
Competencies :
- Ability to solve practical problems and manage various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
