Job Description :
The Food and Nutrition Department provides high-quality nutrition care to our patients and guests. The Food and Nutrition Clinical Supervisor job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor is a valued leader in the Food and Nutrition Department
- Leads the clinical nutrition team in providing evidence-based nutrition care
- Responsible for the clinical nutrition team and diet office / call center
- Collaborates with the medical team
- Leads clinical nutrition performance improvement projects
- Provides nutrition education and training to healers in the department and the health system
- Preceptor for Dietetic Interns
- Super User of nutrition software
Qualifications
- Completion of a BS degree program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian - Required
- Basic knowledge of subspecialty areas (nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology, etc.) - Required
- Registration with the CDR and an Oklahoma State Dietitian license. - Required
- Must obtain a food handlers permit from the Cleveland County Health dept. before hire (or within 1 week of hire). - Required
- Two years of clinical experience in an acute care facility. - Required
- Previous experience working in a clinical diet office or previous supervisory experience at a clinical diet office. - Required
