Role Summary
This is an on-site position based at our Allen Plant location in Gastonia, NC.
Local candidates only - Relocation is not offered for this position.
Main Tasks
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installation
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC’s, industrial electrical and electronic control systems, and other related devices
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems
- Documenting processes and maintaining service records in the CMMS System
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
- Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
Must maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area and participate in shop clean-up schedules and projects
Your Profile
Education :
High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of an Industrial Maintenance program or related program,certification, diploma, or Journeyman’s certification
Experience :
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and / or hydraulic systems
Required Skills :
- Have basic knowledge of O.S.H.A., State and Local codes
- Ability to repair defective parts in compliance with O.S.H.A., State and Local codes
Ability to maintain appropriate records such as work orders, timesheets, etc.
Ability to operate all maintenance equipment in accordance with safety requirements
Root cause problem-solving and creative thinking
Must be able to work independently with a sense of urgency as well as lead a small project team
Preferred Experience : - Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
