Optician Summary O2 Employment Services is currently working a local Optometry office is looking for qualified candidates to interview for their Optician position.
This is a long-term full-time position. The ideal candidate would be someone who is customer focused, flexible and reliable.
Optical Assistant Qualifications
- 3 years optical required
- Must be motivated
- Ability to follow directions
- Great customer service skills and comfortable with patients
- Must be a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to multi-task
- POS experience required
Optician Benefits $18.00 per hourTuesday- Saturday Optician Responsibilities
- Advise customers on styles of eyewear that suit their needs
- Help fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, following prescriptions from ophthalmologists and optometrists
- Greeting patients
- Add frames to inventory
- Adjust eyewear to ensure it is a suitable fit
- Repair or replace broken eyeglass frames
- Educate patients about eyewear and show them how to care for it
- Cleaning and dusting as needed
- Place and dispense contact lens orders
- Frame orders
- Ship returns and patient orders
- Other duties as assigned
