Our client, a broadline food distributor, is looking for a Night Warehouse Manager to join the team in their facility in Linden, NJ.
Sunday-Thursday, 6pm start time
Salary starting at $90,000, commensurate with experience

The Night Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and effective operation of the shipping, receiving and stock areas by performing the following duties :
- Supervises, assists and coordinates activities of warehouse personnel engaged in verifying and maintaining records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepares items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory.
- Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet established shipping and receiving schedules.
- Oversees and performs incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments to include lifting and carrying materials.
- Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and notifies purchasing department of low stock levels.
Reports any discrepancies in orders to appropriate individuals.
- Posts weights and shipping charges to appropriate records, and prepares bills of lading in an accurate manner.
- Supervises associates to include, but not limited to : staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
Ensures staff maintains a level of professionalism, competency and motivation through the direction of selection, development and ongoing evaluation.
Promotes safety compliance regulations.
Works closely with Transportation Manager to ensure the highest level of efficiency within the overall operation. Ensures trucks are unloaded / loaded properly on an accurate and timely basis by overseeing workload scheduling and delivery of product in the warehouse.
Manage the activities of warehouse supervisors and leads
- Qualifications :
- High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent
- 6+ years warehouse management experience, including shipping and receiving, inventory, facility supervision, customer service and all phases of warehouse operations
- Foodservice industry experience required
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with supply chain and logistics operations.
- Experience with production planning and operations management.
