The PRH Children’s Sales team is seeking an Associate Director responsible for maximizing sales growth and managing a sales team.

This position will oversee an experienced sales team that sells the PRH children’s publishing lists and PRHPS Client lists to Ingram, Baker and Taylor and Brodart.

This highly visible and fast paced role will be responsible for all aspects of the division including working closely with the team to develop sales growth strategy and building strong relationships with key contacts at each account.

This role would be asked to attend meetings to represent children’s sales at both internal meetings with the publishers as well as attend external meetings with the accounts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Maximizing sales growth within the established account base by strategizing and partnering with the sales team and accounts.
  • Assisting in the development of account strategies and sales reporting, as well as offering input into publishing programs.
  • Analyzing sales reports to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Communicating all pertinent account-specific information as it relates to appropriate imprints.
  • Provide account updates at internal meetings with various departments.
  • Attend account meetings and trade shows.

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications :

  • Minimum of 8 years prior publishing sales or related publishing experience; managerial experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent product knowledge and understanding of publishing functions.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to run reports, analyze data, and communicate key findings / opportunities.
  • Proactive and able to problem solve and adapt within a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel via plane, train, and / or car to account meetings up to 10% of the time.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
