We are looking for a Haas CNC Machinist with Programmer (Mastercam preferred experience). The ideal candidate is capable of running all manual equipment to include lathes, mills and surface grinding.

This is not a production shop but more of a lab type environment that will be responsible for first articles and R&D development products.

You must be organized and maintain a clean shop, and highly safety-conscious environment. This is a hands-on position where you would work closely with engineers in developing first run articles and proof of concept products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manufacturing of small parts and 1st run R&D prototypes with the use of machinery including but not limited to Haas 5 axis CNC , Manual Mill, Lathe, and software such as Mastercam .

Clean lab style shop- not a production facility).

• Set up CNC machines to complete full cycles and fabricate parts.
• Check, maintain and troubleshoot machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Adhere to specifications and follow quality control procedures.
• Adhere to all safety rules and protocols.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

• 5+ years Minimum work experience with machine shop equipment including but not limited to manual milling, Lathe and 5-Axis CNC.
• This position requires advanced skills and expertise in all aspects of a machine shop.
• Ability to read blueprints and part drawings.
• Advanced knowledge in programming and setup of CNC machines, Mastercam software and 5-axis CNC operation.
• Ability to set up and operate machine tools for drilling, milling, and grinding.
• Knowledge of properties of metal and other materials
• Proven ability to accurately machine parts to print - using a variety of machines and methods.
• Mathematic skills
• Knowledge of reading calipers and gauges
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues.
• Quality control at the CNC.
• Ability to work independently, in a continuous improvement environment.
• Ability to follow all safety rules, and be safety-conscious.
• Eligibility to work in the US.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Clean (laboratory - like) engineering prototyping 1st article shop.

PHYICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands for this position are moderate. Occasional lifting of up to 25lbs or assisted lifting of up to 50lbs is required.

This position requires use of computer use, standing and sitting for extensive periods of time.
