What is the Client Relations Manager responsible for?
We are currently seeking a Client Relations Manager to support the Retirement, Insurance, and 529 National Account team. The position primarily entails supporting the day-to-day needs of assigned Strategic Account Directors and home office clients of the Retirement & Insurance channel, as well as managing cross-functional initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with high client service standards and who always puts team success first.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Client Relations Manager?
Business as usual client service support :
- Ability to manage a high volume of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc client deliverables with a knowledgeable, systematic and efficient approach.
- Support the client acquisition process from the initial RFP stage to contract execution and operational onboarding.
- Manage client communication process (home office and internal communications) to ensure smooth and consistent delivery of updates, including but not limited to product changes and product launches.
- Partner with Sales Manager(s) to author business plans, strategy presentations and client activity guides.
- Function as an extension of the Strategic Account Director with business partners.
- Coordinate materials for client meetings.
- Provide regular updates to the status of various business initiatives including business pipeline, platform availability and client conference calendars.
Proactive client service support :
- Obtain in-depth knowledge of assigned partner firms, including but not limited to, understanding platforms, product availability, pending shelf space opportunities and firm research themes.
- Act as a client advocate across cross-functional teams through critical thinking and problem resolution.
- Anticipate the needs of clients and continuously work to evolve the overall client experience.
Client Engagement :
- Develop client relationships by providing back-up support for assigned Strategic Account Directors and serving as primary point of contact for routine and ad hoc inquiries.
- Coordinate and participate on client calls and attend client conferences / meetings as needed.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years industry experience preferred, with a meaningful understanding of the investment industry.
- Motivated self-starter who can deal with changing requirements in a fast-paced environment; able to creatively implement strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Solid project management expertise and excellent verbal / written communication skills.
- A team player with outstanding interpersonal, time management and efficiency skills.
- Comfortable with managing a high volume of requests with timely turnaround.
Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards monetary and non-monetary designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results.
Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks.
We expect the salary for this position to range between $90,000.00- $120,000.00.
