Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Patient Management Unit (PMU) Staff Services Manager II, the Staff Services Manager I will function as the first line supervisor responsible for a team in the Preadmission and Technology Section.

The incumbent will provide supervision, oversight, and guidance for a unit in the Preadmission and Technology Section, as well as performing the most sensitive or complex tasks.

This position requires successful collaboration with key stakeholders and hospital partners, participation in department-wide innovative solutions and process improvement, and significant organizational skills and attention to detail to support strategic management initiatives as directed by the Staff Services Manager II, PMU Chief, or other departmental leadership.

Working Conditions

This position is physically located in Sacramento and is currently offered with the potential for a hybrid work environment.

Consistent with Policy Directive 5338, Telework may be considered with prior approval from management. If approved, incumbent is expected to report to work at the Allenby building at least twice per week, as directed by their supervisor.

Travel throughout California site visits, including overnight travel, to DSH partnered treatment facilities will be required with prior notice.

DSH-Sacramento is located at a new 11 floor high rise building.
