JOB SUMMARY :

The Project Manager oversees HR projects on an ongoing and regular basis to support HR transformation and digitization. You will plan, manage and deliver initiatives and special projects critical to Banc of California’s human resources strategy and oversee aspects of projects that are highly sensitive and confidential in nature.

Duties may include seeking out opportunities to better HR, meet the business strategy, identifying appropriate resources needed, developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects, communicating project status and issues to team and management, acting to reduce risk, resolve issues and streamlining processes.

This individual contributor will provide support, and work with project teams, to build out a project’s governance, reporting and tracking, from initiation to closure.

The incumbent will think analytically and communicate regularly with HR Management and stakeholders. Perform all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.

S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

Responsibilities :

Execute the project by leading the work of the project resources (internal and / or external) in a matrixed environment. Ensure project team is actively participating, collaborating and coordinating amongst team members as well as with other projects and / or business operations.

Ensure comprehensive documentation of Banc of California PM standards, requirements, changes in scope etc. are associated with each project and establish an audit trail to demonstrate these activities have been addressed.

Prepare project communications including status reports, dashboards, and other materials to keep management and project stakeholders informed of project status and related issues.

Review and rationalize metrics and reports, including facilitating discussions to determine all necessary metrics to measure and assess results.

Perform qualitative research to identify best practices, innovation, and other key areas of interest for HR programs.

Working with all functional disciplines impacted by the project to ensure end to end’ planning is comprehensive and will result in a project plan that will achieve stated goals of project.

Lead and / or participate in business process redesign activities with the goal of enhancing HR processes. Direct the development of future state procedures and ensure adherence to system functionality.

Apply some level of creativity and flexibility in determining the appropriate combination of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques for assigned projects.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to drive execution of project deliverables from cross functional teams to meet timelines.

Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately.

Experience in culture transformation and change management.

Strong presentation skills, including ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information to create polished PowerPoint presentations for various levels of management.

Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.

Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, (url removed), Visio, and SharePoint

Experience in Banking or another highly-regulated industry is preferred.

Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent experience

3-5 years of professional experience in project management, product development, business management, or management consulting in the financial services industry.

PMP certification is preferred
