Job Summary

The Technology Associate will work in the business unit or corporate technology group. The Technology Associate will complete specific assigned projects.

The successful candidate will be able to perform, coordinate, and manage experimental methods and protocols in an accurate and reproducible manner, analyze data and instrumental outputs, and write clear concise reports and assist in presentation of data to both internal and external customers with.

The Technology Associate is responsible for performing the function little to no training, direction or supervision required;

and solving complex problems with minimal assistance that others may struggle to solve.

Essential Functions

  • Product development and testing
  • Technical support and service
  • Technical service support to external customers
  • Provide ongoing technical service to internal customers sales, environmental health and safety, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing.
  • Support raw material evaluation and selection
  • Identification of customer needs and new product innovation
  • Most work will be in the United States, but must be able to travel as needed outside the U.S.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work in laboratory, plant and processing environments.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl;

use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and / or hear.

  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, and ability to differentiate color.
  • Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.
  • Work is inside and the individual is exposed to a normal lab environment.
  • Occasionally work in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is loud.
  • The individual will be required to work extensively at a computer screen and will, at times, sit at a desk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to travel by car or airplane.
