Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Location : Farmington Hills, MI (Onsite)
About the Firm :
We are a multi-state collection law firm based in Farmington Hills, MI, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Assistant .
The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and a keen interest in learning and growing within the legal field, particularly in multi-state court systems .
Key Attributes :
- Strong knowledge of the civil litigation process .
- Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to self-edit .
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Interest in learning and navigating multiple state court systems .
- Desire to expand knowledge and grow within the legal profession.
Degree and Experience :
- Experience working in a civil litigation law firm is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of hot keys is preferred.
- Experience in Creditors' Rights , drafting pleadings, and familiarity with Michigan Court Rules is a plus.
Interview Requirements :
- Candidates must complete an application prior to or at the time of the interview.
- Applicants should be prepared to present two (2) forms of identification as per firm visitor policies.
- Candidates are expected to bring a clean copy of their resume to the interview.
Attendance :
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Candidates must be available to work regular business hours , Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. .
